Meijuhttps://www.promec.fi/suunnittelunoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758126489576219293.post-41095484488700366982016-11-03T15:33:30.879+02:002016-11-03T15:33:30.879+02:00It is public. No sales to speak of, no confirmed sales to speak of, no patent, no sensible & profitable plan of go to market incl. marketing, sales channels, MARGINS etc. to speak of??? What kind of people invest in a company like this? People without skills to analyse if a plan is viable or not? People with too much money...? I just don't understand. It's not that I wish this company fails, I genuinely struggle to understand how is it that this company keeps on going with nothing that I can understand to have much value? There's clearly no shortage of people with extra dough... The portfolio is a plan on paper except for the 1st manufactured product, and the confirmed orders are almost half from indiegogo. Only small amounts of money have been spent to date, i.e. they haven't been able to properly do product design etc. Only pay themselves 6000/mo, which shows where their priorities are... Still, unbelievable they've gotten this far. But scaling up if the product doesn't work as promised is going to be impossible. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758126489576219293.post-7264238472211686452016-11-01T13:02:00.229+02:002016-11-01T13:02:00.229+02:00It is how it is. People are paying for your pitchi...It is how it is. People are paying for your pitching. If you can make them believe in your idea/product and you can make them feel they need your crap you can sell anything to a certain extent. For me the main problem is making Asmo Saloranta as a hero while he should be let nowhere near to an actual business. He seems to have a creative mind, but terribly ignorant when it comes to business profitability. Secondly, i am constantly pissed of Tekes and ELY-keskus dumping money on these guys.
Of course these is a problem that Asmo's team constantly removes any criticizing comments. They would not able defend their earlier claims in any environment where there is true experts are sitting. This is the reason in my mind that they have failed to get this charger taken up by large companies. Which would be the only way to decrease costs/increase sales.
Thanks for keeping up with their campaign! I think the reason for this, once the product is commercial they could be in trouble with false claims.
Secondly, while I 100% agree with you, they run a strong media campaign. Naturally, local and national media supporting them as they are hungry for every bit of good news, especially when something is made in Finland.
You could also see there are 100s of people are supporting the idea and 1000s are interested.
I also very surprised about the lack of complaints on Indegogo. It tells that people are OK with the delays and the complete BS around the product.
So in conclusion, we are only two against 100s or if not 1000s.
This however will not change the fact that this is an expensive product which has very little margin. After the first wave of people their sales will be minimal. A year from now asmo charger will be done. But we know Asmo survives the nuclear attack, so I am fully expect that he will come out on a top as moral hero. He will have more products like the Vessla picture frame. An other complete destined to fail idea. No problem. We need these people in Oulu.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
